SCOTT DACKO, FOUNDER
Scott Dacko loves the challenge of the new. He's been a writer, designer, filmmaker, programmer & producer. He's worked most often on the web, most recently in movies, and for 15 years has made a career at the technical edges of emerging media, creating new experiences and presenting them on screens of all types and sizes.

Scott has designed and built applications, websites, computer games, digital videos, kiosks and interactive presentations for clients such ABC, Disney, Estée Lauder, the Fed Reserve, GQ, SAP, Vanity Fair and the Wall Street Journal. His work in interactive design has been well recognized, winning Applied Arts, Astrid, Galaxy, & Pantone awards, among others. Scott founded Revel in 2002.

In 2006, he wrote and directed the indie thriller “The Insurgents” starring Mary Stuart Masterson and John Shea. The film played festivals worldwide, winning an Audience Award, Best Picture and Best Screenplay honors. Variety called it “a brain-teaser that tosses ideologies in a narrative blender alternately set to certainty and ambiguity.” The Insurgents was released in 2007 and is currently playing on Showtime and The Movie Channel.

Scott is a faculty member of the School of Visual Arts. He has a degree in English from Duke.
